 Verifying my payment method

Verifying your payment method means adding a payment source to your account - credit or debit card and PayPal.

Payment verification is free; However some credit card gateways may charge a small fee which will be refunded automatically within 2-3 business days.

After successful verification, your verified payment method will generate a billing agreement, so your card will support recurring payments as it makes it easier for you to fund and pay as it allows automatic payments on your transactions.

Follow these steps to verify your payment method:

   1. Click on your profile picture thumbnail from the main menu bar. Then, click on Settings.

   2. Go to the Payments and Financials tab

   3. Click on the + Payment method button.

   4. Select your preferred payment source: Credit/Debit Card or PayPal

   5. Provide the required details. Ensure all information is correct to avoid verification errors

   6. Set your billing agreement currency.

Credit Card Verification - By default, the currency is set to your card currency. This will be the currency in which you want to charge your card.

PayPal Verification - Your billing contract currency will depend on the primary currency of your Freelancer.com account.

7. Click Continue to complete the verification.
