2. Platform as a Service (PaaS)

3. Software as a Service (SaaS)
If you are not a cloud provider or developer then SaaS is for you. Basically software services are available here. Most cloud computing follows the SaaS architecture.

You can rent a virtual machine in this way. You can use virtual machine on PC without buying any physical PC. There are many users who rent virtual machines for specific tasks instead of renting a physical data center. The advantage of renting a virtual machine is that you can be sure of good performance all the time.
6. Native cloud applications
You can fulfill your tasks using apps running on cloud computing. There are some apps that are developed in the cloud that you cannot install offline on your PC. If Microsoft Word is rented from the cloud, it cannot be called a Native Cloud Application. Examples of native cloud applications are Office 365 Word and Gmail. These apps need to be installed in the cloud and connected to the cloud to access it.

You may have an idea about Cloud Storage. It's a simple concept. In this concept, no file is saved in the local computer storage and stored in the cloud.
If you put something in the cloud storage, it stays there by international standards, your data is in the cloud as well as some copies of it are kept in some physical locations. Cloud storage also offers some additional benefits such as the ability to search and edit your files in the cloud.
Some examples of cloud storage are Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, DropBox, and Apple iCloud.

You may be surprised that social media is also part of cloud computing. There is no reason to be surprised, make sure you put your image there, use online services, watch videos. And social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram are live for cloud computing.
9. Streaming service
All streaming services online are part of cloud computing, be it Spotify or Netflix. While apps are installed on your phone, they are connected to large data centers to receive their services.
These services not only provide content according to your needs, but also provide different quality based on internet connection and even make recommendations with personal data.
If you want, you can stream different games with services like Xcloud, Geforce Now, and Google Stadia without buying an expensive console or an expensive PC. Although cloud gaming is relatively new, you can have a good experience using it if you have a stable internet connection.
10. Decentralized cloud services
Traditional cloud services use centralized data centers, there may be privacy risks, and the advanced form of decentralized cloud services solves this problem. For example, if you create a document in Google Docs, Google can read it if you want. An example of a privacy-preserving decentralized cloud service is Graphite Docs. It has no central data center and uses blockchain technology to host and encrypt data. No one can monitor user data here even if they want to.
Unfortunately, Graphite Docs was shut down in 2020, but its code is now open source so anyone can use it to create something new. Another such decentralized app is Stacks where you can write decentralized apps.
